Our goal and vision as a youth group is simple: To exalt Jesus as the greatest through living a life of purpose
We provide opportunities in the group for for this vision to be accomplished. They are connect, grow, and serve.
Connect - This is the first step in welcoming someone to The Rock. While connecting in our group has multiple purposes, we want to make sure that each student is able to get connected to God, their peers, and their community while they participate in activities The Rock has to offer. Activities that are good for making connections are the Skate Park on Wednesday evenings, Junkfood Alley, and any special events. So come, hang out, and be part of our family!
Grow - Once people get connected to The Rock our desire is to see them grow in the Lord. We do this by first, teaching the truth about our Lord and Savior. Second, we talk about culture and how it can lie to us and deceive us at times. Third, we incorporate mentoring through Life Groups. The combination of these three things can help bring a person to the point when they desire serve on their own.
Serve - As people grow, serving will become natural. Our biggest desire is to see junior high student impacting their world for Christ by serving however they are able. The programs we offer at The Rock give the students many different opportunities and first hand training to be affective in their ministry.
